Beta Notice
Last updated: 2026-04-24
What this is
Predator's Lament is an actively-developed beta. The game is running, players are logging in, and the store is open — but the systems you see today are still being iterated on. Reading this page before you buy, sign up, or redeem a code is part of the deal we've asked you to agree to at checkout.
What "beta" means here
- Features can change. Systems like combat, inventory, skills, crafting, matchmaking, and the store catalog can be rebalanced, restructured, renamed, or removed between releases. Numbers you see today (stats, drop rates, prices, rewards) are not contracts — they are the current build.
- Features can break. Servers may go down. Characters may fail to log in. Purchases may take time to appear in-game while we debug. We aim for zero downtime but cannot promise it at this stage.
- Progress is not guaranteed to persist. In rare cases — serious security issues, a broken economy, a database corruption event, or a structural rework — we may need to wipe or roll back character data, inventories, quest progress, or leaderboards. We avoid this whenever possible and will announce it in advance when we can.
- Purchases persist when technically possible. Real-money entitlements, currency, and bundles bought via the store are tracked server-side and restored across wipes wherever the new data model allows. If a paid item's underlying system is removed during beta, we will replace it with an equivalent or refund the purchase. See the Refund Policy.
- Content you see may not be final. Art, text, sound, UI, and mechanics may change before full launch. Placeholder assets exist and may be replaced without notice.
- Your feedback matters. Bug reports, balance concerns, and feature suggestions feed directly into the roadmap. Email support@predatorslament.com.
What we commit to
- Transparent announcements of wipes, major economy changes, and known-broken systems.
- A good-faith refund path for purchases rendered unusable by structural changes (see Refund Policy).
- Reasonable effort to honor entitlements — character slots, name reservations, titles, premium currency, cosmetics — across internal reworks.
- A published changelog for each release.
What you agree to when you check the box
At checkout, you agree that:
- You understand the game is in active beta development.
- You accept that features can change, fail temporarily, or be removed.
- You've read this page and the Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
- Your purchase is for access to the current state of the game and its current reward structure — not a guarantee of any specific future feature.
